In July 2022, Middey Technologies launched as automated payroll processing platform with a bold vision: to simplify financial transactions for everyday users and businesses across Africa. From day one, our mission was to innovate at the intersection of finance and technology, delivering solutions that are not just functional, but also smart, seamless, and easily accessible.
We began by building tools for local payments and digital transactions — helping small businesses send and receive money with ease. But as the global financial landscape evolved, so did the needs of our users. Crypto adoption was rising fast in Nigeria our primary market, and across emerging markets in Africa and the entire world. People were no longer just looking to send money locally — they wanted seamless crypto payments, fast conversions, and real-time bank transfers. In fact people work hard for their money and wants to own their money, cryptocurrency offered this.
That was our cue to pivot.
In 2024, we shifted focus from traditional fintech operations to building a “next-gen crypto payment app” that simplifies everything — from receiving crypto to converting it instantly to “NAIRA , USD, POUND, EUR or any fiat currency” and transferring funds directly to your bank account in seconds.
